David M. Svoboda
Dave is a Director and is the Chief Financial Officer for FINNEA. He has extensive experience in providing financial management and turnaround advisory services to clients within the automotive and general manufacturing sectors, and has expertise in financial modeling, liquidity forecasting and cash management. Prior to joining FINNEA, Dave was most recently a Senior Vice President with Macquarie Capital. He has also served as an advisor to automotive suppliers ASC, Inc. and AZ Automotive, both portfolio companies of the private equity firm Questor Management Co. Prior to joining Questor, he was a Plant Controller with Guardian Industries, and began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen. Dave is a registered Certified Public Accountant (State of Michigan 1998) and holds a BBA from the University of Michigan.
Nathan A. Aslesen
Nathan is a Director at FINNEA Group and has extensive corporate finance and financial advisory experience. His transaction background is comprised of sell-side M&A advisory transactions, buy-side M&A advisory transactions, capital markets transactions, and debt and equity principal investment transactions. Prior to joining FINNEA Group, Nathan spent over four years with Macquarie Capital (USA) where he advised on sell-side transactions for external clients, advised on buy-side transactions for in-house Macquarie Capital investment funds and external clients, and completed and managed Macquarie Capital balance sheet investments. He has experience across a range of industries including manufacturing, plastics and packaging, logistics, transportation, industrial products, business services, and financial services. Nathan received his BBA with a double major in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Adam M. Wirick
Adam is a Director for FINNEA. He has substantial M&A experience, providing corporate finance and strategic advisory services including corporate acquisitions and divestitures, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts and financial planning & analysis. Prior to joining FINNEA, Adam worked in the Diversified Industries Group at Macquarie Capital Advisors, where he advised on buy-side transactions for Macquarie’s balance sheet and in-house investment funds, as well as sell-side transactions for clients across multiple industries including automotive, agriculture, telecommunications and industrials. Adam received his BA in finance, with high honor, from Michigan State University, where he was a member of its Financial Markets Institute.
Mitchel G. Nakken
Mitchel is a Director for FINNEA. Prior to joining the firm, he was employed with Plante & Moran Corporate Finance (“PMCF”), a boutique middle‐market investment bank, where he advised on sell‐side and buy‐side transactions. He has experience across a range of industries including plastics and packaging, manufacturing, transportation, industrial products and business services. Mitchel received his BA in Finance, with distinction, from the Honors College and Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, where he was also a member of the Financial Markets Institute.
Mark R. Flubacker
Mark is a Vice President for FINNEA with experience in corporate finance and financial advisory services with expertise in financial analysis and modeling. He has worked on M&A advisory and capital markets transactions for the firm. Prior to joining FINNEA, Mark was an Equity Research Analyst for a small Chicago-based hedge fund. In this role, he conducted pro-forma analysis for the event book of the fund, and studied firms in the agriculture, engineering and construction, and consumer industries. Mark received his BS in Business with distinction from Miami University, where he double majored in Finance and Economics.
Dustin L. Hill
Dustin is a Senior Associate for FINNEA Group. Prior to joining the firm, Dustin worked at Ernst & Young providing corporate finance and strategy advisory work to clients in a broad range of industries; he specialized in rapid assessments, benchmarking and business strategy. Dustin attended Central Michigan University where he double majored in Finance and Real Estate Development. In addition, he received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Kenneth D. Perry Jr.
Kenneth Perry Jr. is an Associate for FINNEA. Prior to joining the firm, Kenneth worked in differentiated roles across M&A, Venture Capital and Compliance where he helped execute transactions across numerous sectors. Mr. Perry has experience in corporate finance, financial analysis and due diligence. Kenneth received his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and his BA in Economics from Morehouse College, with a concentration in Math and Finance. Kenneth is also a member of the New York Bar.
Daniel L. Mihelich
Dan Mihelich is an Associate for FINNEA. Prior to joining the firm, Dan worked at D.A. Davidson & Co. where he helped execute sell-side transactions across multiple industries, gaining experience in financial analysis and due diligence. Dan received his degree in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from California State University Fullerton (’13) and his Masters of Accountancy from DePaul University (’14).
Spencer R. Tielens
Spencer Tielens is an Associate for FINNEA. Prior to joining the firm, Spencer worked in the Private Company Services practice at PwC where he gained extensive experience working on corporate carve-outs and post-acquisition integration. Spencer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Marquette University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Pending) in the State of Illinois.
Austin Darket is an Associate for FINNEA. Prior to joining the firm, Austin worked for Deloitte where he gained experience in both their Advisory and Tax practices. Austin received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accounting degrees from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan.
